FAQs

Frequently asked questions about how we work with schools.

How much does it cost?

Pricing for schools is customised based on specific needs. Factors like location and the number of sessions required play a significant role in determining the cost. Once we understand these requirements, we can tailor a cost specifically for your school. Please get in touch with us to discuss these details and we will provide a bespoke quote.

How often are the bootcamps?

The frequency of bootcamps for schools is tailored according to the specific needs and preferences of each school. We are flexible and can adjust our schedule to best fit the school's routine and requirements.

Where are the bootcamps?

Our bootcamps for schools are typically held on the school grounds, preferably on the field if available, to provide ample space for activities. This ensures convenience and easy access for all participants.

What do the students need to bring?

Students are recommended to bring a large bottle of water to stay hydrated during the activities. They should wear clothes that they don't mind getting grassy or muddy and ideally made with breathable material, PE kits work well. Suitable fitness footwear is also essential. School uniforms are not suitable for these sessions.

What does a 'typical' session look like?

A typical session is designed to accommodate approximately 30-32 children and lasts about 1 hour and 15 minutes. This duration includes time for explaining exercises, so that all participants can fully engage in about an hour's worth of activity, based on their individual ability.

The session commences with a fun and inclusive cardio warm-up game named 'Bulldog'. The game caters to various ability levels, enhancing agility, teamwork, and individual competitiveness, while keeping the atmosphere light and enjoyable.

Following the warm-up, participants move on to the core of the session: a full-body workout. This workout utilises diverse equipment such as tyres, chains, kegs, water drums, slamballs, kettlebells, weightbags, and logs. The exercises - including flipping, pulling, pushing, and lots of running - are all ability-based, meaning each participant can perform at their own pace and level.

Throughout the session, we instill and uphold the principles of respect, dedication, determination, and pride. These values form the foundation of our inclusive and respectful environment. If participants break any of these rules, they're asked to do press-ups, a task that can also be adjusted based on ability.

To round off the session, we engage in a tug-of-war game. This activity allows participants of varying confidence levels to either lead or be led, emphasising our commitment to inclusivity. The game also teaches respect and understanding for all participants, regardless of whether they're on the winning or losing team.

If you have specific requirements or ideas for the sessions, please don't hesitate to get in touch. We are more than happy to accommodate your needs and suggestions to ensure you have the best possible experience.
